This is the latest generation of Peter Powell Kites, the MKIII. The MKIII is based on the same original design that Peter Powell created in the 70s, which became an icon. It’s crafted with top-quality modern materials for exceptional durability and performance. To this day, every kite is handmade by the Powell family in the UK, and each comes with its own unique authentication number.

Unlike traditional single-string kites, this two-line steerable design allows you to take control. As the world’s first steerable kite, invented by Peter Powell himself, it offers excellent maneuverability. Flyers can perform amazing aerial stunts and tricks or simply soar gently with complete steering control. It provides a flying experience suitable for beginners and seasoned flyers alike, with easy handling and outstanding performance.

The 76-ft inflatable Skystreamer Tail adds the finishing touch to this all-time classic. It creates its own drama, flowing and looping as it follows the kite across the sky.

We've spent hours flying these kites at Ocean Beach in San Francisco and were impressed by their flight performance and first-rate construction. We also offer spare parts and tails, as Peter Powell Kites are fully repairable.
