“ES” stands for “Essential Series,” a minimalist refresh of the original Cephas yo-yo design by Atmos Projects.

The Cephas ES features an overhauled schmoove groove, improved handling and maneuverability, and a bias toward greater rim weight.

This is a non-responsive yo-yo, meaning it won’t return to your hand automatically. You’ll need to learn a simple bind technique instead of relying on a tug to bring it back. That’s also why it stays spinning for tricks.
