Chich-Bich Backgammon Set

We live in a time when everything is down to the pixel accurate. And yet, here we have these board games. Made of earth, cracked, unique, and very human. Sometimes edges are burnt in the fire. Sometimes you can see a fingerprint. The Berber influence is present in the design, the colors, and the materials. They function as art and as games.

This special-edition backgammon set updates Flaÿou’s Berber-influenced design with brilliant, neon blue details. Inspired by the traditional pottery of the Sejnane region, where local artisans have worked with clay for more than 3,000 years, each board and its pieces are crafted entirely by hand, from the extraction of local clay to the shaping and firing of the board.

Includes a terracotta board and pieces, two olive wood dice, a notebook about the collection, and bags for the pieces—all packaged in a pizza box.
